Human Resources coordinates recruitment, testing, selection, staff development and training, management of employee benefit programs and all Human Resources related activities for the Village of Mount Prospect. 
 
Employee benefit programs include health services, life insurance, voluntary short term disability, pension programs, unemployment compensation, deferred income programs, vacation, sick leave, longevity and holiday pay programs. The department is responsible for the administration of Village personnel policy and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include administrative and management duties assigned to the office by the Village Manager.
