Welcome to the Village of Mount Prospect! Thank you for choosing to make our Village a place you call "home." Mount Prospect is a wonderful community with outstanding services, schools and amenities. The Village has a number of services designed to help you get settled in. You'll soon discover the true meaning of the Village motto, "Where Friendliness is a Way of Life."

The resources below will acquaint you with municipal services provided by the Village as well as help you identify your local legislators. We encourage you to take a few minutes to visit these links and learn more about your hometown. It will inform you about the rules concerning garbage pickup and the need for vehicle stickers. You also will find a link to the Village's Newsletters. Newsletters are delivered to each residence six times a year (bimonthly) to keep our citizens knowledgeable about new or seasonal programs. For more detailed information about our schools, park districts, utilities, transportation, and maps, click on the buttons to the left (for those on a desktop computer).

We are fortunate to live in a community with open and accessible government. Our Village Board meetings and the Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are broadcast through MPDC over local cable stations and streamed "live."  We invite you to tune in. 

As you become more acquainted with the Village, you will learn that ours is a vibrant community. Our vision is to represent the best of suburban communities, diverse and family friendly and one that wisely stewards its resources and delivers value-defined services.
