If you are traveling away from your home for more than a day or two, you can request a vacation watch of your home by the police department.  You should make the request online or contact the front desk of the police department at (847) 870-5656 to request a vacation home watch. Homes on the watch list, will be monitored by police officers during their routine patrols of the neighborhood.

By entering your home for a vacation watch, it should be understood that the Mount Prospect Police Department will make every attempt to periodically check your residence.  Factors such as heavy call volume and/or officer availability, may affect how often your property may be checked.
