The Communications Division manages internal and external communications with the guidance of the Village's Communications Plan. Day-to-day responsibilities include management of the Village’s website and social media accounts, creation of the Village newsletter and press releases, and video productions such as the Village Board meetings.

The Village issues press releases to alert stakeholders on items of public interest. For emergencies and news related to active criminal investigations, the Fire and Police Departments also issue press releases. Items related to Village daily operations are also shared via news stories on the Village's homepage.
The Village creates and distributes nine editions of the Village Newsletters per year to all households in Mount Prospect. This informative guide includes a calendar of events and featured news from all Village departments.
