MOUNT PROSPECT POLICE CADETS
Overview
Public Safety Cadets was created in 2018 by active and retired law enforcement officers and business leaders with the goal of teaching and training young men and women who are considering a career in law enforcement. Active Mount Prospect police officers serve as mentors to the students and teach in a classroom setting, as well as with an abundance of hands-on instruction on many topics, such as traffic stops, building searches, defensive tactics, and crime scene investigation. The Cadets are issued uniforms, participate in patrol ride-a-longs, and work with officers at a variety of community events.
