10/21/2024 - The contractor will be placing the prime oil on the concrete base tomorrow. Then on Thursdays, they will lay the first layer of asphalt. The plan is to pave all five lanes on Thursday. The road will remain open on Thursday during paving. They will work on one lane at a time keeping traffic moving in both directions. Traffic control will change as they move from one lane to the next. Entrances to driveways and side streets will be temporarily closed as they pave in front of them. Flaggers will be on-site directing motorists. St. Emily's has been kept in the loop throughout the project and notified of the paving schedule.
During the week of October 28th, they plan to complete miscellaneous work including manhole adjustments, driveways, side street paving, and landscaping. Weather permitting, they will lay the surface layer of asphalt the week of November 4th over a two-day period. The contractor will then install pavement markings and complete final punch list items.
8/30/2024 – Milling is complete and concrete work will take place over the next few weeks including ADA ramps, spot curb and gutter replacement and concrete base course patching. Expect overnight lane closures as required for concrete base course patching.
