As part of our ongoing preventative maintenance efforts, field observation, and inspection were completed in October 2020 at Reservoir Booster Pumping Station 4, located at 117 N. Waverly Place in Mount Prospect. The inspection was to determine whether there had been any changes in the condition of the tank’s interior, exterior, visible foundation, and accessories since the last evaluation. Rehabilitation to the 880,000-gallon sub grade concrete water reservoir and booster pumping station will occur. The water reservoir is used during the Village's daily water pumping activities.
The project's scope of work includes exterior concrete crack repairs, cleaning, and coating, interior crack repairs, and cleaning with an elastomeric coating system applied. All metal piping and repairs to the interior roof are cleaned and painted. Safe climbing devices are installed on the tank’s interior ladders, and a self-closing gate is installed for roof access.
