Vehicles weighing over six (6) tons traveling on Village streets are required to obtain an Overweight/Oversize Vehicle permit.  The following document lists the overweight permits and associated costs Overweight Mount Prospect-Permit Inventory.  If the route includes a State or County road separate permit would need to be issued by the appropriate agency.

Any company wanting to apply for an overweight/oversize permit in Mount Prospect can obtain a permit via the  Village's online permit process https://www.oxcartpermits.com.

• Permits are reviewed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 
• Please allow 24 hours during the work week for review of a permit.
• Permits received after 5:00 PM on Friday and on Saturday & Sunday will be reviewed the following Monday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 

Registration is easy and can be completed on the Oxcart website under the Trucking login/sign up link at http://www.oxcartpermits.com. Once registered, companies will then be able to reap the benefits of the following via Oxcart:
