PLAN REVIEWS
All new or revised building construction, fire alarm system design, sprinkler, kitchen hood mechanical and wet chemical suppression systems will be reviewed by the Fire Marshal. All documents submitted must comply with all the applicable codes and local ordinances as adopted by the Village Board.

Before documents are finished and submitted for review, we encourage pre-planning consultations to discuss projects and to help facilitate a prompt plan review and subsequent approval. All document submittals and any revised submittals must be directed to the Mount Prospect Building Division located at 50 South Emerson Street. All submittals shall include six (6) complete sets.

REQUIRED INSPECTIONS
For more information about the required inspections and code requirements for the Village of Mount Prospect, the Fire Department has assembled a contractor handout that you can use as a reference when working on a submittal for review.

SCHEDULING INSPECTIONS 
Please contact the Fire Prevention Bureau at 847/818-5253 to schedule an inspection. Please note that 48 hours advance notice is required for all inspections.
