The Village of Mount Prospect’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christkindlmarket will take place on Wednesday, November 23 at Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson Street, Mount Prospect. The Christkindlmarket will be held in the Farley Community Room on the first floor of Village Hall from 3 - 7 p.m. The holiday market will include an array of local vendors with creative gifts just in time for the holidays. The Mount Prospect Special Events Commission sponsors Christkindlmarket. 

The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5 p.m. and will take place just outside of Village Hall at the southeast corner of Busse Avenue and Main Street/Route 83. Residents and guests are invited to bring friends and family to witness the lighting of the tree. Get in the holiday spirit with hot chocolate, cookies and good cheer. The Prospect High School Madrigals will perform a series of popular carols. The Village of Mount Prospect sponsors the Tree Lighting. The Mount Prospect Lions Club provides the cookies and hot chocolate.
