The Village has teamed up with Northwest Central Dispatch System (NWCDS) through their Everbridge emergency alert system to allow Mount Prospect residents, and non-residents interested in what is happening in Mount Prospect, to receive local alerts via text messaging and email. Residents are already receiving regional emergency alerts through the Everbridge system on their cell phone devices for things like Amber Alerts, emergency weather notifications and other high priority emergency events that may affect the entire region. Even if you do not sign up for further alerts, you will still receive these regional emergency alerts put out by NWCDS.

Subscribers may choose to receive one or all alert categories, and you may choose to receive alerts through text, email or both. The Everbridge link on the sign up page will take you to the Citizen Alert website of the NWCDS. Once there you will need to create an account, fill in your contact information and sign up for the alerts you are interested in receiving. It's quick and easy. When signing up, you will have the option to select notification categories which interest you. You can edit your notification selections at any time by logging into your account.

• Experience Mount Prospect: Events & Business Deals - Features community events from the Village, Park Districts, Library, Historical Society, and Local Organizations; highlights sales, grand openings, and special events specifically for businesses in Mount Prospect. Each is sent approximately once per month.
• Village Public Meeting Notifications - Emails alerting you of an upcoming Village Board Meeting, Committee of the Whole, Planning and Zoning Meeting, and more. With links to the meeting Agendas, when possible. Sent multiple times per month, depending on meeting schedule.
• Sustainability News - Learn about the what you can do to be more sustainable, find important information on sustainable initiatives, and see what the Village is doing to promote sustainability.
