Chanukah Candle Lighting Program

Join us for a celebration of light and hope on Saturday, December 5, 2026. Starting at 5 pm, attendees will light candles on a traditional menorah and have some delicious Chanukah treats. A presentation about the story and history of Chanukah will be given. This is a free event taking place in the Farley Community Room at Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St.). This event is open to all – no registration required.

2026 Vendor Applications Open

Hosted by the Special Events Commission, this festive market takes place annually during the Village's Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Christkindlmarket is held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in the Farley Community Room at Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St.), 4-7 pm. This year's date is Wednesday, November 25, 2026. 

Vendor Information & Application

Spaces are limited. The deadline to apply is November 13, 2026, or until spots are filled. Submitting an application does not automatically ensure a space. Download the paper application here.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Village's annual tree lighting ceremony is on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Lights go on at 5 pm. 

The ceremony will take place in the pocket park, which is located at the intersection of Emerson St. and Busse Ave. Emerson St. will be closed from the parking garage to Busse Ave. Listen to holiday tunes sung by the Prospect High School Madrigals and warm up with free hot chocolate and candycanes generously provided by the Mount Prospect Lions Club.
