Section 11.901 of the Village Code requires all contractor’s to be licensed by the Village of Mount Prospect before beginning any project.

Roofing, fire alarm/sprinkler, and plumbing contractors must submit a copy of their current Illinois State Registration and state bond to obtain their Village license, which is issued at no charge.

All other general and sub-contractors must pay an annual fee of $35 for their license.

Electrical contractors must submit a copy of their current registration to obtain a Village license.

Licenses are valid for one (1) year and must be renewed each January 1st.

Licenses may be obtained from the Building Division on the second floor of the Village Hall.
